SimulateLite is intended for tooling companies who design their own tools but do not have access to world class forming simulation technology. SimulateLite allows any tool maker to test their die face (or process) design in the virual world, before any steel is cut - no knowledge of Finite Element Analysis software required. The simulation will identify any predicted forming problems, with the objective being to solve these (not simply highlight them) by simulating ideas and countermeasures in the virtual environment, thereby proving the design before committing to costly tooling fabrication. This is a completely online and contracted service, using StampingSimulation.com's software and resources. How SimulateLite works | Pre-existing die face design to test | Tooling geometry is set up | Simulation is calculated using AutoForm | Results electronically delivered | Step 1 The customer has a pre-existing die face design and wishes to see it simulated to check for splits wrinkles or other problems. The die face data is uploaded to StampingSimulation.com along with some key input parameters. Step 2 Using the information collected in "Step 1", StampingSimulation.com sets up the tooling geometry in preparation for simulation. Step 3 The simulation is calculated using the worldclass AutoForm sheet metal forming simulation software. Step 4 Based on the information collected from "Step 1", the results are delivered electronically (as a report and in IGS format) to the customer. Output options include: Forming Limit Information, SpringBack Compensated Die Face Data etc. Learn more: What data do I need to provide, and what outputs can I expect back?
